Mrs. Krishna Mohanty (maiden name - Krishna Mahajanam) is born in a wonderful Family of intellectuals and well placed professionals. Her father, Dr. M.S. Rao is a renowned Academician and Engineer, and mother Madhavi - a housewife with multiple talents. She is the Daughter In Law of Late Sri Subash Chandra Mohanty, an illustrious Retd Excise Superintendent and Late Smt. Subasini Mohanty, a caring and strong willed lady.

Krishna is married to Bijay Mohanty, an entrepreneur and is the proud mother of a son, Sarthak, an aspiring Architect who has also bagged many accolades at the KV National level in academics and is a State Awardee in Painting.

Professionally, she is an academician (She says- I love my job - the best part being - grooming the future generation !!) She is the Academic Director and Principal of Aditya Educational Institutions, Sambalpur. She is an Alumni of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sambalpur and has the credit of forming its Alumni Association. She is also pursuing her doctorate in English. She takes counselling and personality development classes for students as well as teacher orientation programs. She has an excellent academedic career and has been a gold medallist. She has been an Ace debater and a keen sports woman (She has played Nationals in Athletics in KV and has been a University Basketball player). She is a trained dancer too. She has participated in many Youth Festivals and Student Exchange Programmes and won many Contests bringing laurels to her Alma mater at School, College and University level. She has a plethora of hobbies which include quizzing, painting, writing poetry and short stories (many of which have been published). Listening to music, cooking, browsing the net and gardening are her favourite pastimes. She loves to make Friends and do some noble work (so as to add a purpose and meaning to life!) She is associated with many a social welfare organisations besides Inner Wheel. She loves to work for Child Welfare and Care of Old Aged. She has started many self help groups too.

She joined the Inner Wheel in 2001 inspired by its motto of Freindship and Service. She is the Past President of Inner Wheel Club of Sambalpur. She received the Outstanding Award from the District for all the Posts that she held in the Club. She was also awarded as the most Dynamic and Supportive Member of the Inner Wheel for her Contribution. She not only bagged many prizes in Inter Club, Inter District as well as SAR Competitions but was also the ISO Queen of the District. She was the Conference Chairman as well as Convenor of a number of District Assemblies. She was the Co-ordinator of the National Event-Prem Prateek. After entering the District Executive Committee in 2012. She has proved her worth in each of the posts that she held and has been appreciated for it. She has attended 3 Triennial Conferences as the Voting Delegate and many National Events in the Inner Wheel. She now adorns the coveted position of the District Chairman of Inner Wheel District 326. She fondly says - This 'Saptapadi' has been truly enriching and ennobling. Her tagline is "Academics may be my Profession... but Inner Wheel is my passion".

She is God fearing and firmly believes that each one has been sent to this world with some talent and a mission to accomplish!! She has crossed many a milestones and got achievements in life...but truly feels and says... 'there are many promises to keep and......miles to go before I Sleep....!!'
